Hi!  If you’ve found this page it’s because your charity or community project has been selected as a recipient of a Website Wish.  I’m glad you are here.

I try to help a couple of charities each year, and experience has taught me that it’s best when both parties understand up front how I can volunteer my time to help them.

I run a really small sole-trader business, which is not cash rich, so whilst I’m really honoured to be able to help you with the skills I have, I do ask that you contribute to the cost of the hosting and domain.  This doesn’t benefit me in any way, it’s purely an economic fact that I can’t afford to pay and host all of the charities I have helped. 

…..However what I do have is a wealth of knowledge and experience and WordPress skills that I am really happy to volunteer my time for.  

If you cannot fund your hosting then I can see if anyone within my network could sponsor you, however this is not always possible.  Or you may have a benefactor who can help with this?

Please read the following terms carefully, you will be asked to sign a copy of these terms in order to begin your project.

Free Website Terms

• You are receiving a free WordPress website, valued at £595, this includes a logo, website, customisation session and training
• The website will have a maximum of 4 pages plus a blog if you need one
• 2 hours of amends to the site design you select, 1 hour via Zoom so we can make the amends together, and 1 hour offline for technical changes
• A 45 minute WordPress training session via Zoom so you can manage your content
• Lifetime software updates for your site for as long as the WordPress theme has updates available (usually charged at £95 per year)
• There are no ongoing fees to me for the site unless you require further work or amendments which I can provide at a reduced rate

What You Must Provide

• Content for the site pages and posts
• Images if appropriate or I can source a small selection free of charge for you

Domains & Hosting

• For the free sites I don’t provide the hosting and domain free of charge as this is the part of the project that has associated costs
• Hosting and domain names are registered in your name at encode.host
• Hosting and domains are billable to you directly
• Typically a .co.uk domain will cost approx £9 per year and annual hosting is £50 (+ vat)
• Hosting includes an email address which I will set up for you, and an SSL certificate at no additional charge
• If you already have your domain name in place then you just need to provide me with your account login so I can connect this to your website
• Free sites cannot be provided on other hosting locations as we can waste a lot of time if your setup is not correct

How To Claim Your Free Site

1. Click the button ‘I ACCEPT THESE TERMS’ at the bottom of the page
2. Download and sign the terms document
3. Return the terms document to me in an email, a photo is fine
4. I will send you a special coupon code to use at checkout.

Just go online to https://mulberry-box.co.uk and add your code into the checkout.  This will discount the site to zero value for you.  If you then checkout as normal with a zero payment it helps me to gather all the information I need from you to proceed with setting up your account and hosting.  The code will expire 3 months after issue.

What You Need To Provide

The checkout process will guide you through the order process and all the relevant information I need.  Once you have placed the other I will call you to arrange a site briefing and confirm a date when your site will be ready for us to review and make changes together.  Before that can happen you will need to prepare some words and images, but you will be sent full instructions so don’t worry!

If you do need any further help with your site, do let me know as I have a discounted rate, of up to 15% for selected charities and not for profits.
