The Process & FAQ

Step 1 – Getting Ready!

Package Choice

All the sites are provided at a fixed cost so you are in control of your budget.

You can choose to pay either in 6 monthly installments or a discounted rate over 3 payments.

Your price includes:

– Domain name
– Hosting
– SSL certificate
– Daily backup
– Basic logo if you need one
– Email
– Website
– WordPress training

Plus a lifetime Divi Theme licence retailing at over £200.

If you need extras like SEO, additional pages, or an online shop, then you can add them on.

Everything is registered in your name* so you are fully in control of your own website. There are no hidden fees.

* For sites on payment plans, full site ownership is provided at the end of the payment plan.

Holding Pages & Email

If this is a brand new site and domain name, we can get a holding page set up for you straight away, as well as your email address, so you can start using that immediately.

Design Selection

We have a selection of professional WordPress site designs for you to choose from, which can be customised to suit any business.  These are ‘look and feel’ designs, you select the one you like, either from our gallery of designs, or client portfolio.

We then use that for the basis of your design, adapting to your brand with colour, fonts, content, graphics and photography.

All sites have the following pages:

– 3 standard pages home/about/contact
– 1 or more extra pages based on the package you select
– privacy page with standard GDPR policy

You can add additional pages if you need them; they are not limited in any way.

Homework!

We will need lots of information from you, and we will share an online folder with you for all of your files, to make them easy for the whole team to find.

Your design work won’t begin until we have everything we need from you, and we will schedule your project into the diary once all of that is recevied.

Our dedicated project manager will help you with all of this, so you are guided through your project, step by step.

Content Writing

You will need to write some words for each page and provide a logo if you have one, or we can provide a basic one for you.

We have a content writing guide available for you if you need help.

Images & Photography

If you have your own photography and images we can use those and each package comes with some stock images which we will select to suit your business if needed.

We have our own in-house photographer with some great packages available.

We also have a photography guide, which will help you with the images we will need for your site.

We will share image ideas with you and it’s easy to amend the images if you’d like alternatives.

Step 2 – Design Phase

Design Meeting

Once you have gathered everthing together, we will review all of your content and images before your design meeting.

We will run over everything you have sent over, design ideas, colour ideas, as well as understanding more about your business and website vision.

We do this really close to when we begin the design so the ideas start to form right before the design process begins.  This is when the magic happens!

We might talk about…

– your ethos, products and services
– who your customers are
– key business functions
– how you would like your site to look
– tools you use in your business we can integrate

Understanding more about you and your business is the key to a site that truly represents your brand.

Site Build

Once the design work begins within 2-3 weeks you will have your site back for review!

We send you a working site, along with a video walkthrough which explains the design, and next steps.

You will have full access to the site to see the progress as we begin the final phase of the design process – the review and design amendments.

Review

Depending on your package you have chosen you will have a set amount of time for design changes, which we can do online together or you can send over to me as feedback.

We like to do them together, it’s a much more efficient way of using your allocated time and a brilliant collaborative approach that gives us great results, but this is totally up to you.

If you need extra time for design changes we can just add those onto a timesheet for you at your special project rate.

Step 3 – Site Launch

Go Live

Once your site is ready we will plan a date for it to go-live, and our tech team will help with anything like domain transfers, moving domains from sitebuilders like WIX, DNS changes etc.

You are in safe hands, and we plan our migrations carefully.

Search Engine Optimisation

After your site goes live, if you have selected a package with SEO, we will complete some final activities.

We register your site with Google for indexing, as well as connecting with Google Analytics for gathering metrics.

Training

No project is complete without a bespoke WordPress training session and project handover.

You will also receive a user guide for your website, as well as key details for login and technical support.

Ongoing Support

Your website is more than just a launch – it’s an evolving platform that needs regular care to stay fresh, secure, and running smoothly. That’s why we’re here to support you long after your site goes live, offering flexible options to suit your needs.

Your site has been built on an incredible platform that will serve you year after year with a lifetime theme license included in the cost. The site is fully scalable and modular and so can grow and evolve with your business.
